Riptide Dance Team
WELCOME
Our students develop their passion for dance through a multifaceted approach to their studies, with the first semester focusing on marching band auxiliary technique and the second semester focusing on various dance skills and styles, including contemporary, jazz, and hip hop. Rehearsals occur in the class during school time and after school at marching band and dance rehearsals. Joining Riptide Dance Team gives dancers the opportunity to perform at football games, recitals, parades, pep rallies, and much more!

Auditions for the 2024-2025 team will occur over four days, with two rounds of auditions occurring during that time. The auditions will occur May 21st-24th from 5:30-7:30 PM in the FMHS Band Room.
Day 1:
Learn a jazz pom combo and the fight song.
Day 2:
Round 1--audition for a panel of judges and the list of dancers who go to the next round will be posted on Instagram.
Day 3:
Learn a contemporary combination.
Day 4:
Round 2--dancers who moved on to round 2 will audition in front of a panel of judges; final list for the 24-25 team will be posted
If you want to see if the team is the right fit for you before auditions, we will be hosting open classes on May 1st, 8th, and 15th. The class will run from 2-3:30 PM on May 1/8 and from 5-6:30 PM the 15th.
